Description
Short
Build rockets, reach orbit, land on other worlds. Real physics, friendly start.
Long
Fast Rocket is a rocket-building and space-flight sandbox. Snap a rocket together from parts, launch it under a real physics simulation, fly it to orbit with patched-conic orbital mechanics, plan your manoeuvres, dock in orbit and land on other worlds. Explosions are part of the fun, and every crash teaches you something.
What sets it apart is the welcome. Two voiced, captioned instructors teach complete beginners. Ada goes by the book, clipboard in hand. Rivet thinks every problem needs a bigger engine or more duct tape. They argue, they joke, and they tell you exactly what to press on your device while an arrow points at the control. Eleven lessons, every one a real flight, take you from "press Stage" to landing on the Moon, coming home and meeting another craft in orbit. More than 2,000 voiced lines mean they stay with you after the lessons too: in quick launch and free flight they explain what is happening and why, catch beginner mistakes, and do a joint post-mortem when you crash.
It is an original game, with its own solar system, its own cast and its own parts.
The instructors

Director Ada Vance
Mission Control. Calm, warm, by the book, with a dry wit.

Chief Engineer Bram "Rivet" Okafor
Runs the assembly building. Every problem needs a bigger engine or more duct tape.
Features
Taught by voice
Ada and Rivet point at the exact control and say "tap" on a touch screen and "press" on a keyboard. Crashes come with a "Why did I crash?" breakdown.
Physics you can trust
Rigid-body dynamics, Tsiolkovsky delta-v, aerodynamic stability, transonic drag and reentry heating with ablative heat shields.
Real orbital mechanics
Patched conics, manoeuvre nodes, transfers, captures, landings, and docking with ports, capture and undocking.
A builder that helps
Live delta-v, thrust-to-weight and burn time per stage, symmetry, undo and redo, share codes, and a Rocket Doctor that explains problems and offers one-tap fixes. Tap a part twice and it goes in the right spot.
Sandbox, Career-lite and Daily Challenge
Everything unlocked, or contracts and a tech tree, or a fresh seeded objective every day with streaks.
Something to work towards
XP and ranks from Cadet to Legend, mission-patch achievements, stars and personal bests.
Touch first, keyboard friendly
Every screen works on a phone. Full keyboard and mouse, gamepad support and rebindable keys.
Offline and private
Single player, no account, no ads, no tracking. Progress stays on the device; anonymous diagnostics are off unless the player opts in.
Accessibility
- Captions on all speech, always on, in three sizes; voices can be muted for captions only.
- Reduce-motion setting (no camera shake, screen flashes or big particle bursts).
- Colour-blind-safe palette for the HUD and orbit lines.
- UI scale, full touch controls, gamepad support and rebindable keys.
- Hints name the input for the device in use: "tap STAGE" on touch, "press Space" on a keyboard.
History
Why I made it
I've loved space my whole life, but I bounced off every rocket game I ever tried, and I never had a tutorial I enjoyed. So I set out to make a rocket game with a friendlier way in.
The physics was never the problem. The welcome was. With Ada and Rivet telling me exactly what to press, I laughed at a duct-tape joke, and a minute later I actually understood staging. Packaging matters. A lot. Maybe I'm an auditory learner: I needed a voice telling me what to do.

How it was made
Fast Rocket is made by one person. The first version was a serious physics engine with no bedside manner: slow, buggy, and hard to play unless you were already a rocket junkie. The rocket got fixed first. Then came the voices, and with them a Flight School whose two instructors stay with you everywhere. Linh play-tested it on a cheap Android tablet with no keyboard, which is how the rough edges were found.
- September 29, 2026: live on Google Play ($2.99); the full game is also free on the web.
- September 30, 2026: the launch story posted on LinkedIn and X.
- Next: iOS, coming soon (no date yet).

Logo and brand
The app icon is the logo. Write the name as Fast Rocket (two words, both capitalised). Tagline: Build it. Launch it. Land it. Laugh about it.
AI disclosure
Fast Rocket was made by one developer with generative AI, and says so plainly:
- Art (images and 3D models), character voices, music and sound effects were generated with AssetYard, the developer's own media tool. The sound effects use Stable Audio 3 from Stability AI; the voices are synthetic.
- The code was written with AI coding assistants.
- Linh directed all of it, playing the game through on real devices and sending back everything that felt wrong.
